Discrimination is a costly business that does much harm to employers, employees, and society at large. Discrimination in the workplace weakens employee performance, hurts profits, and turns off consumers. The ‘Say Yes to Employment Equality’ campaign, which is part of the Viet Pride project, documents corporate pledges to combat such behavior. Domestic and foreign corporations in Vietnam commit to nondiscriminatory recruitment practices and to work toward a safe and tolerant work environment. Corporate commitments will be recorded in the Employment Equality Guidebook 2013, which will be a first step toward: benchmarking employment equality in Vietnam, ensuring the safety and confidence of young LGBT jobseekers and employees, and informing consumers’ buying decisions.​
